We know that organising a wedding is a detailed process. We can meet with you at your wedding venue as you work through your plans, so we can ensure all details for the release are in place.

The birds used in white dove releases are white homing doves who have a natural homing instinct to find their way home.  Although they are strong fliers, their performance is possible only after prolonged and precise training.

All our doves are kept in a completely natural environment in our garden in Moira, Derbyshire, flying free every day (weather permitting) and secure at night from predators. 

Being based in the heart of the Midland countryside by the towns of Swadlincote, Burton on Trent and Derby we are available to travel anywhere in the Central Midlands and doves for weddings are getting more and more popular.

All our doves are registered to us and have rings on their legs, so they can be easily identified. Each ring is unique, providing information about the dove, such as the year of birth.

Our cages and baskets are in pristine condition, they can be decorated to colour co-ordinate with your wedding theme on request.

 

Our professional team arrive early at your chosen venue to make sure the displays are in place for your arrival.  Always dressed appropriately, our team supervise the safety of the doves and help with their smooth release, either from your hand or basket release.

Welcome to Love Takes Flight. We are a small family run white dove display and release business based in Cheadle in Staffordshire. Theres me “Emma” and my two beautiful little girls as well as our star attraction, our birds.

 

For as long as I can remember I have been involved with pigeons, my great grandad, my grandad and my dad have all kept and raced these clever creatures over the years so it was natural that i should follow in their footsteps. 

 

I am an affiliated member of the Royal Pigeon Racing Association and have looked after and trained my pigeons to race home from locations as far afield as France so you may rest assured that my birds are properly cared for and fully prepared for any releases that they undertake.

 

Spending so much time around these beautiful creatures inspired me to want to share them with others and what better way than by providing my pure white pigeons for displays and releases at your special occasions. 

 

They really are a unique and elegant way to enhance your memories of many of your life events so whether you are just starting your lives together.
