Hats

We design and make made-to-order (bespoke) hats for all seasons and all occasions, using the best quality materials -sinamay, felt and silks – with a superb range of adornments to add that special finishing touch, including:

Hats range from £65 to £250 to purchase and £40 to £70 to hire. You can still have colour and adornment changes made and hire.

Fascinators

The recent popularity of the fascinator owes much to the trend-setting British Royal Family. The Duchess of Cornwall chose a fascinator for her marriage to Prince Charles in 2005 and The Queen wore one at the wedding of her grandson, Peter Phillips and  we were delighted to design and create some fantastic creations for the Royal Wedding in 2018 – Harry and Meghan.
At formal events of all types it is no longer unusual to see fascinators taking over from the more traditional hat.
Our fascinators can be worn as headbands, combs or clips, all of which will add that special ‘finishing touch’ to any outfit.

Bobbi’s passion for hats began at the age of thirteen when she made a tartan jockey cap cut to the pattern of her brothers school cap. 

The only place she could wear it was going to church.  How else could a young potential milliner be noticed?

Now some years later than she cares to think about, Bobbi is designing and making hats for discerning clients from her dedicated studio in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.

Bobbi holds City and Guilds accreditation, levels 2 and 3 along with the diploma in millinery.

Past positions have included working with Stephen Jones and Noel Stewart.I have also designed Hats worn in the Oscar winning film Poor Things.

Although my base is on the outskirts of Worcester my wedding hats and fascinators are individually hand made by me with over 30 years experience in this skilful trade.

I have studied and taught a wide range of textiles skills for twenty years, being a qualified Textiles teacher. In this time, I discovered my love for millinery and accessories and created many bespoke creations for clients before deciding to really 'go for it' and establish my business, 'Kerry Kernan Millinery & Textiles'.

 

Having been taught my millinery skills by the fabulous Louise Pocock, in Chipping Campden, I have now developed my own style of 'quirky meets classic' and am able to bring in many of my textiles skills to create unique pieces.
