A wedding ceremony is usually conducted after a couple legally marry. There are a number of reasons why you might choose to marry and then have a wedding ceremony, the primary reason being that it gives you the freedom to celebrate where, when and how you wish.
As an Independent Celebrant I am able to ensure each ceremony is unique to you. A Wedding Ceremony can be held in a location of your choice, at a time to suit you and there are no limits to the number of people who can be present.
Your choice of music, poetry and readings can be woven into the ceremony.
Symbolic actions such as exchanging rings, lighting candles, a sand ceremony, releasing balloons, butterflies or doves, or creating unique items to cherish are just a few ideas that can be included.
The ceremony can also contain religious elements if you choose.

This includes:

I am an independent civil celebrant based in Redditch, Worcestershire.
I am fully trained and insured and a member of the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants, and this gives the reassurance of a quality service backed up by a high-level of training and support.
Creating the services and ceremonies that you want, I will meet with you, listen to you and spend time getting to know you. I am a sensitive and caring person who will always strive to provide the very best service and care that I can. I truly believe that the only way to be the best I can be is to listen!
With alternative ideas and options to put forward to you, we can work together to ensure that the bespoke ceremonies delivered are all that you want ... and more!
This is likely to be one of the most important days of your life!
Why should you not plan to have exactly what you have always wanted with no restrictions? If you choose a celebrant-led ceremony, that's exactly what you can have.
We can put together a completely bespoke and personalised ceremony and there are no restrictions with celebrant-led services.
You can include religious elements as much as completely non-religious elements. There are many steps of the ceremony that resemble a traditional wedding, for instance, the exchange of vows and rings.
For the legal stuff - many couples will have already done the 'legal' part of their marriage before their celebrant-led ceremony. This isn't necessary and can be done afterwards but is the most usual way of doing things. You will need to contact your local Registry Office to arrange this and obtain your legal marriage certificate.
My ceremony is not a 'legal' ceremony but a celebration!
Together, we can create a beautiful ceremony that you and your guests will always remember. It would be an honour to be able to provide you with a truly magical day.
